Laser therapy

This is a medical procedure that can only be performed on the basis of a doctor’s referral (must be on paper).

All appointments need to be pre-booked.

Indications for laser therapy:

  • acute and chronic joint and muscle conditions (decreasing inflammation and improving immunity)
  • radiculitis, osteochondrosis, joint conditions, trophic ulcers and eczemas
  • ear, nose and throat diseases; dental diseases
  • neuropathies, joint and muscle pains

Contraindications for laser therapy:

  • active pulmonary tuberculosis
  • fever over 38° C
  • acute heart disease (angina pectoris, heart attack)
  • in case of other heart diseases avoid the neck area
  • artificial cardiac pacemaker
  • pregnancy (especially first trimester)
  • malignant tumour
  • acute immunodeficiency

Low level laser therapy is especially suitable for treating large damaged areas, treating which with a regular laser therapy device would be too labour-intensive for the therapist. The equipment can irradiate a larger surface more evenly

Laser therapy is mostly prescribed in a series of 8 to 10 treatments. A treatment lasts 5 minutes to 15 minutes.
